Refining

Refining & recycling

Emeko is specialized in the refinement of gold, silver, but also platinum & palladium and the lesser known PGM’s (Platinum Group Metals) in almost all its forms and alloys. When refining gold, the silver is automatically recuperated as well. When refining platinum & palladium, the gold and silver are automatically recuperated as well.

Each refining job follows a clearly defined process:

Cupellation (Fire Assay) for gold and silver
ICP Spectrometry for PGMs and alloy composition
Final refining & purification
Settlement based on assay results and market prices

Assaying

Our in-house experts analyze each lot of material with the highest precision and care. Our certified assayers are highly qualified to perform multiple assays on a daily basis. This allows us to process multiple lots at a fast pace, while still mainaining great accuracy.

Our on-site laboratory employs both traditional and advanced technologies:

Fire Assay / Cupellation – The gold standard for determining gold and silver content

ICP Spectrometry – For detailed, multi-element analysis of platinum, palladium, and rhodium

We provide detailed laboratory reports upon request.

Diamond Recovery

We offer safe, non-destructive chemical extraction of diamonds and gemstones from gold jewelry, preserving the integrity of both materials.

We recover diamonds very effectively from jewelry without damaging them by chemical solution.

Afterwards you can sell the gold to Argentor, have it delivered back to you in purified form or deposit it on a metal account. With a chemical solution of diamonds it is not possible to return the silver, platinum and palladium.

If so desired, we can bring you into contact with a diamond trader for the sale of your diamonds.

Workhouse wastes

Refining & recycling workhouse wastes

E.ME.KO. specializes in the processing of workshop waste and the recovery of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. During the refining/purification of workshop waste, the materials are melted at high temperatures, allowing all base metals and impurities to be separated from the precious metals. In other words, this method guarantees the most accurate results.

Workhouse wastes will always have to be refined and analysed first. After processing, you can sell your return, have it delivered back to you in purified form or deposit it on a metal account. The bigger the amount delivered, the more cost-effective your material can be processed!

Transport

Transportation process

You can reach out to Argentor Essayeurs for shipping rates.
Argentor Essayeurs is our sole commercial partner and all inquiries are handled exclusively by them.

Depending on the value and/or weight of your material they will suggest a transportation sollution accordingly.

Either:

– An insured and secure pick-up with an external delivery service will be organized;

– One of Argentor’s representatives will personally come to pick up the material;

– The transportation will be organized via a suitable forwarding agent.

Once the material arrives at Argentor Essayeurs, it is transported to our refining facility with insured transport. From there the material is processed according to what was discussed with the client.
