Since its founding in 1953, Edelmetalen Kortrijk – or simply E.ME.KO. – has remained a pillar of Belgium’s precious metals industry. Born in the heart of the country’s historical goldworking region, our refinery was established with a singular mission: to set new standards in the treatment and recovery of precious metals.

Over the decades, our operation has evolved from a regional refining workshop into a state-of-the-art production facility, known for its meticulous processes, responsible sourcing, and exceptional purity results. Our production facility, serves as the exclusive refinery behind Argentor Essayeurs, one of the country’s leading precious metals distributors. We are officially accredited by the Royal Mint of Belgium — a mark of distinction that recognizes our long-standing commitment to quality and compliance.
